The Burren is famous for the wildflowers, the ring forts and places of archaeological interest. You can find abandoned villages and walk on green roads for miles without ever seeing a car.

Caving Doolin Cave (Poll an Ionain), was discovered in 1952. It is open to the public and you can see there one of the longest free hanging stalactite in the world (7 m). Ailwee Cave is an impressive show cave and offers guided tours. It is only about 20 min. drive away from Doolin. While 'Doolin Cave' is open to the public, the rest of the cave system around Doolin attractions the experienced cavers and potholers.
Island Trips Take the ferry and visit the Aran Islands. After only 30 min. by boat you enter the world of the mystical old Ireland. The ferry leaves several times daily from Doolin Pier.
Traditional Music Doolin is world famous for traditional Irish music. Traditional Irish music can be heard nightly in all three pubs throughout the summer and at weekends during the winter.
Golf Between Fisherstreet und Doolin Pier you find a nine-hole pitch and putt course. The 18-hole championship course at Lahinch is just a 20 min. drive from Doolin.
