Doolin Cave (Poll an Ionain), was discovered in 1952. It is open to the public and you can see there one of the longest free hanging stalactite in the world (7 m). Ailwee Cave is an impressive show cave and offers guided tours. It is only about 20 min. drive away from Doolin. While 'Doolin Cave' is open to the public, the rest of the cave system around Doolin attractions the experienced cavers and potholers.
